# I just finished my Hyper Island course

I just wrapped up my course at **Hyper Island**, and it's been one of the most
intense and rewarding stretches of learning I've done.

A few things that stuck with me:

- **Real teamwork beats solo heroics.** Most of the work was project-based and
  collaborative, which changed how I think about building software with other people.
- **Reflection is a skill.** The methodology pushed me to constantly look back at
  what worked and what didn't — and that habit has made me a better engineer.
- **Shipping is the point.** Nothing teaches you faster than putting real work in
  front of real people.
